A new key, a new chapter: Supporting Onward Eden Prairie

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of joining fellow Rotary volunteers to help a resident from Onward Eden Prairie move into their new apartment—and it was so much more than just a move. Every box we carried, every piece of furniture we placed, felt like a step toward something bigger: stability, dignity, and hope.
What might have seemed like a few hours of physical labor was, in truth, a milestone moment in someone’s life. To witness the resident’s joy upon settling in was deeply moving. And when we received a heartfelt thank-you note afterward—unexpected, but profoundly touching—it reminded me of the quiet power of compassion and community.
Every move marks a meaningful milestone, and this one was no exception. It was a fresh start, a symbol of progress, and a beautiful reminder of what happens when people come together to support one another.
Onward Eden Prairie’s mission—to provide safe, affordable transitional housing for young adults—is one I’m proud to stand behind. Their work nurtures independence and prevents homelessness, one life at a time.
Thank you, Onward, for letting us walk alongside those building brighter futures.
